Deconstructing Human Trafficking: Awareness and Education

This workshop is designed to provide a general overview of domestic human trafficking, so participants are sufficiently informed on the dynamics of human trafficking, how to spot red flags, and the paths to pursue if human trafficking is suspected. 

Training available for, universities,organizations, and community members that may encounter victims of domestic sex trafficking.

Training covers a variety of topics including, but not limited to:

  • Dynamics of human trafficking 
  • Diversity of victim profiles and vulnerabilities
  • Luring, grooming, control, and exploitation tactics used by traffickers
  • Human trafficking red flags and indicators
  • Unconscious Bias and Human Trafficking
  • Physical and psychological consequences of trauma 
  • Recommendations for interacting with victims following best practices
  • Resources and first contact providers across the province available
